Here pictured, my Iranian friend, Mojdah Diba, gazes out restfully at the viewer. She is a gentle soul who worked on this painting with me one Christmas.“Come to God” is written at the bottom of the picture in both English and Farsi. The background is loosely based on a famous image made by a 16th-century Persian artist.
